Selection method of crane steel wire rope

(1) the selection of steel wire rope shall meet the requirements, and the method of connection scale hardness shall be correct

a. the fixed pressing plates at the end of the steel wire rope shall be ≥ 2 or fixed on the drum and other components with wedges

b. when the specification of the lifting hook and other retrieval devices is 500N 50N (optional 1) at the lowest position (including the pit), the number of coils of the steel wire rope on the drum must be ≥ 2, except for the number of coils at the fixed rope tail

(2) the steel wire rope shall be scrapped in case of one of the following conditions:

a. the number of broken wires in one lay length (refers to the axial distance around any steel wire rope strand) of the cross wound steel wire rope reaches 10% of the total number of wires of the rope

b. for the steel wire rope used for hoisting hot metal or dangerous goods, the number of scrapped broken wires shall be half of that of general cranes. If the broken wires are concentrated in local areas, or the broken wires are concentrated in one strand within the length of six times the diameter of the steel wire rope, it shall be scrapped according to the half specified in a

c. the corrosion or wear of the steel wire on the surface layer of the steel wire rope reaches 40% of the original wire diameter on the surface

d. the diameter of steel wire rope is reduced by 7%

e. the steel wire rope has obvious internal corrosion

f. there is wear or corrosion on the surface of the steel wire rope and a certain number of broken wires. The breaking test can be completed. The number of automatically controlled wires should be multiplied by the reduction coefficient according to the provisions of a and B. when the wear or corrosion rate is 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%-40%

respectively, the reduction coefficient should be 85%, 75%, 70%, 60% and 50%

g. the whole strand breaking causes the arc surface of the indenter to crack or burn out in a straight line with the test piece

h. the extension of the outer steel wire rope is "cage" or the diameter of the fiber core of the steel wire rope increases seriously

i. serious deformation such as kink, dead angle, hard bend, plastic deformation and hemp core falling out of the steel wire rope

(3) the steel wire rope is well lubricated
